FairStay

Non-discrimination policy

FairStay is open to everyone. Hosts decide on requests only from a guest's track record on FairStay, not from who the guest is.

  1. 1Decisions must be based only on what FairStay shows you: past stays, reviews from other hosts, complaint history, dates, group size and your house rules.
  2. 2You may not decline, cancel, charge more, or set different rules for anyone because of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital status or family status.
  3. 3You may not use a guest's name or profile photo to guess any of these traits or as a reason to decline.
  4. 4Every decline needs a reason from the list we provide. FairStay reviews decline patterns.
  5. 5Hosts who break this policy can be suspended or removed from FairStay.

If you think a host treated you unfairly, report it on your trip and our team will review it.

FairStay

Stays without the guest service fee. Hosts pay a flat 10%, and that's all we take.

Our fee promise

Guests: $0 service fee. Hosts: 10% commission. Nothing hidden at checkout.

Fair complaints

Both sides share photos and statements, and a real person on our team reviews every case.

Airbnb and Vrbo comparisons are estimates using typical published fees (Nov 2026): Airbnb's 15.5% host-only fee or older split fee (3% host + about 14.1% guest), and Vrbo's 12% commission plus a traveler fee of about 10%, which varies. Real fees vary by account and pricing.
